A visit to Cors Dyfi
On Tuesday 23 May pupils in class 5/6J and 5/6H visited the Cors Dyfi Reserve. This educational visit was an excellent opportunity to develop the pupils’ knowledge and understanding of the habitats in which the ospreys live and how they are adapted for their environment. Led by Kim Williams, the pupils visited the observatory, where they saw Glesni , the female osprey , sitting on her nest; her two newly hatched chicks were just visible. The pupils learnt about the migration of these incredible birds and how Cors Dyfi works to protect the ospreys. Thank you to Kim and all the volunteers at Cors Dyfi for such an interesting visit.
